Jesus Hernandez
Campers World East Series
Jesus Hernandez is opening many eyes in the Busch East division.  Continuing to lead the rookies, Hernandez is pulling his weight at Ginn Racing and now DEI.

Jesus is not a driver that started early in his career but he has vastly caught the competition with his fierce driving style.  Quick in qualifying, Hernandez always seems to put himself in the right spot at the right time.

At the close of a race, he always seems to be in contention.  That is something that every organization is looking for

Jesus Hernandez's racing career began behind the wheel of a homemade go-cart on a concrete parking lot in Fresno, Calif.

Now, 10 years later, Hernandez enters his third season with Ginn Racing. In his inaugural year, the Fresno, Calif.-native posted one top-five and six top-10 finishes in his 17 starts in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series.

Hernandez turned heads in 2006 when he posted two wins, seven top-fives and 15 top-10s for Ginn Racing in his No. 41 Waste Management Chevrolet.

One of the most talented young drivers to climb behind the wheel, Hernandez has proven successful at every level on which he's competed.

He captured Rookie of the Year honors in both the Junior Grand American Modified division in 1998 and the Grand American Modified division in 2000. He also took home track championships at Madera (Calif.) Speedway in 1998 and 1999.

Hernandez's father, along with three uncles, were part-time racing enthusiasts and full-time auto mechanics who owned the Fresno Carburetor Shop, and agreed to become a racing sponsor when Hernandez was just 15 years old. He competed against four other racing hopefuls in their homemade go-karts in the parking lot of the family business, vying for the sponsorship and a coveted position in the entry-level Toyota Sedans division at Madera Speedway. Needless to say, Hernandez earned a spot.

Along with running in the Dodge Weekly Racing Series in 2007, Hernandez is slated to enter a few ARCA and NASCAR Craftsman Truck races.

Hernandez earned an associate degree in 2001 from Fresno City College. He and his wife, Brianne, have two children and are expecting twins in August.
